That said, there are SO MANY policy books (by which I mean ones that are not mainly targeted at an academic audience) and I guess everyone thinks that they need to get their ideas out there.
But what is a single book – even one that sells a few thousand copies? Not tomorrow’s chip wrapping, quite, but certainly next year’s charity shop contribution. Do any other than a handful (Bell Curve, Tipping Point) make any significant difference for good or ill?
