This is a liberal version of “why can’t we show a bit of Blitz spirit?”. There isn’t always a blitz/pandemic & equitable distribution of support over the long term requires an infrastructure that has, at a minimum, very many state-like structures. theguardian.com/commentisfree/…
All these initiatives are fantastic and I love all the people involved, but great case studies make bad infrastructure.

Just goes to show that cycling culture is built by policy, it’s not a natural phenomenon. We’re getting better, but slowly.
