Starting to genuinely hate my Momentum 3 headphones. Great sound quality but total chaos whenever two paired devices are within 20km. Walking with my laptop closed in my laptop case = can’t reliably listen to things on my phone because it always prioritises my laptop.
And is there a way to prevent this « smart » behaviour? No. But does the unwanted switching between devices stop playback so it preserves where you were? Also no.
I’m literally standing at the tram stop now with my laptop closed in my bag and I have had three thirty second bursts of my podcast at random intervals when my headphones decided I wanted to listen to silence from a closed laptop instead.
There appears to be no way to prevent this other than never using my headphones with anything other than one device ever. The « smart control » app is neither smart, nor does it control.
So, don’t buy @SennheiserFR Momentum 3, if you don’t live a monastic single-Bluetooth-device life. The thirty seconds of excellent noise cancellation will be drowned out by your screams of frustration.
