Fascinating stats on COVID infection rates by commune in Bxl. Berchem and Anderlecht >50% above Bruxelles-ville and St-Gilles (which I would have thought had most internationally mobile pops). St-Josse and Schaerbeek well below average. politico.eu/article/corona…

I agree with @lesoir’s David Coppi that the PS and progressives in general should beware of “2008 syndrome”, where they excite themselves with big ambitions for the post-crisis world but get mugged by a narrative of austerity and deregulation. plus.lesoir.be/298258/article…
Which isn’t to say that the ambitions are wrong, but this time around they need to be sure they can implement them. In Belgium’s current political situation, it’s not an easy task.
