Great article (via @TerryReintke) on Euro English. As a native English speaker I feel self-conscious that everyone is speaking my native language (and self-critical about how little I use my French, even in a proudly multilingual org like @demsoc). euronews.com/2020/04/23/wor…
The one missing Euro English thing that I’ve heard and found myself occasionally slipping into is “eventually” meaning perhaps (from éventuellement in French). But as Terry said, English is a beautiful language in any case, I should be grateful that it’s the one I grew up with.
